Office365

Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of productivity tools from Microsoft. It integrates all the apps you need to collaborate with your classmates or coworkers. Whether working from campus or on the go, Office 365 is available wherever you are, from virtually any device. Get to know Office 365 and the multitude of features it offers by browsing the list below. ​

OneDrive on Office 365​

OneDrive for Business, a cloud storage and file sharing service from Microsoft, keeps all your files in one secure, access-it-anywhere location. Employees should use OneDrive for Business to store personal business data, while students can use it to store their personal data relating to coursework and other student activities. With OneDrive for Business, you can save your files to the cloud and access them anytime, both online and offline, and collaborate on documents in real-time with others at SPC.​

Cyber Security Awareness​

​The number of compromised accounts detected at SPC has risen in recent years. These compromised accounts were the results of faculty, staff, and students falling for phishing emails and giving away their SPC username and password. The goals are to raise awareness of IT risks, vulnerabilities and protection requirements. 

Goals:

  • Research, study, and advise departments of IT vulnerabilites
  • Devise techniques for cost effective security and privacy of sensitve systems
  • Develop standards, metrics, tests, and validation programs
  • Establish minimum security requirements
  • Promote, measure, and validate security in systems and services
  • Promote secure IT planning, implementation, management and operation

SPC Information Systems Incident Response


Administrative Information Systems responds to and investigates incidents related to misuse or abuse of St. Petersburg College's information technology resources. This includes attacks, breaches and misuse related to information technology as well as unauthorized disclosure, modification or misuse of electronic institutional or personal information.

Emergency IR Procedures

  • For incidents involving threats to personal safety/physical property or criminal activities, immediately contact the local Campus Security and Provost Office.  Please see the policy on threats and violence on campus  and the procedures for emergencies.
  • For electronic information or systems security incidents requiring immediate attention contact the helpdesk at 791-2795.

General IR Procedures

Computer Forensic Investigations

All investigation requests should include the following:

    • A description of the incident        
          a. Dates
          b. Times
          c. Locations
          d. Equipment involved (DBT & Serial No.)
          e. User names  
    • A description of the objective
    • Detailed incident information
    • Department contacts authorized to assist AIS
    • Actions that were taken prior to Incident Report
    • Description of any potential loss of confidential information   
    • Names of individuals involved in incident
    • Names of witnesses and first responders
    • Documentation or logs of the incident ​
